The people of La Union are set for vibrant local tourism, as a more inclusive and dynamic celebration of the National Tourism Month is up next week.

The third La Union Tourism and Travel Expo (LUTTE) is set on September 25-27, 2014 at the CSI The City Mall Event Atrium, City of San Fernando, La Union, and exciting shows and activities will come in flurry.

The LUTTE 2014 features an all-in tourism event that enjoins local government units, tourism councils, hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel management companies and tour operators, the academe, and other interest organizations.

Burst of colors and excitement is on the way as 27 booth exhibitors will display and offer sample services, company treats and freebies, and surprise sorts.

Meanwhile, schools will battle it out in various competitions that will test their knowledge in travel and tourism, such as the essay writing contest and tourism quiz bee.

This year’s three-day event will also be a celebration of the local culture and arts. Various cultural presentations and art exhibits will give every spectator a total visual extravaganza.

Everybody is hence invited to take part in this colorful welcome for the undeniably growing travel and tourism industry of La Union. The LUTTE 2014 will open on September 25, 2014, 2pm at CSI Event Atrium.

In celebration of August as the Breastfeeding Awareness Month, the Lorma Breastfeeding Support Group and the Art Guild of La Union recently teamed up to promote the practice of breastfeeding through art work. By doing so, the public becomes aware that breastfeeding is a normal, accepted activity among mothers. Mothers are also encouraged to breastfeed anywhere, and realize its significant impact on the growth and development of their infants.

The La Union Hotels Resorts and Restaurant Association (LUHRRA) and the La Union Conventions and Visitors Bureau as events manager, aims to promote the culinary tourism of Region I and to form partnership with the industry to support the growth of exemplary culinary tourism throughout the region by featuring Ilocandia’s unique cuisine.

The 3rd Annual Kusina Ilokandia 2014 will highlight the SKILLS, COMPETENCE, CREATIVITY and CAPACITY BUILDING of practicing professionals and aspiring culinary students and simultaneously showcase the regions pride on Ilocano cuisine, with this year’s theme : Kusina Ilocandia 2014 : Promoting Northern Luzon Culinary Adventure. This event will happen on November 12-14, 2014 at the Don Mariano Marcos State University, Mid La Union Campus, San Fernando, La Union.

The 3-day event targets about 2,000 attendees from various culinary schools, hoteliers and restaurateurs, culinary suppliers and providers, enthusiasts, participants and competitors from the culinary industry in Region.

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union- Students in a summer art class recently exhibited their masterpieces at the CSI MALL in Barangay Biday.

Artist Guild in La Union (AGLAUN) presidend Rene Niro said that the summer art class exposed and developed the creative talents of children. AGLAUN's 'Summer Art Sansation 2015' was suported by the provincial goverment, "Silid ti Adal Ken Laing" Art Gallery and the CSI MALL."
